Enjoy the summer on the terrace of the restaurant or under the shade of chestnut trees in Berlin`s oldest beer garden! The Prater exists since 1837 and is opened from April to September. The restaurant is opened daily (despite ongoing construction in the theatre buildings). The kitchen serves fresh homemade Berlin cuisine throughout the year: The menu includes Classics like Königsberger Klopse (meatballs in caper sauce), Wiener Schnitzel (veal cutlet) and Senfeier mit Quetschkartoffeln (mustard eggs and mash). Delicious seasonal products are also offered, such as Asparagus, chanterelles and roast goose.

Located directly at the Senefelder Platz you may find a green summer garden under preservation. Once the oldest brewery in the Berlin district of Prenzlauer Berg, today the „pfefferberg“ is a fine location to go out around the year. The beer garden is surrounded by locations for parties, concerts, art galleries and garages. The so called „pfefferberg- summer garden“ itself hosts a yearly Flamenco festival, open- air concerts und public viewings (for big soccer tournament for example). Have a seat under the tall linden trees and enjoy a cold beer, soda, BBQ, coffee or cakes.
