The basis of the salt therapy is speleotherapy, i.e. cure in the atmosphere of salt caves and salt shafts. According to the old facts, the medieval monks took sick to the salt caves and let them to breathe into their lungs the salt particles, which were created while the monks were crushing the stalactites. The salt aerosol consists of tiny and dry salt particles which are grinded in the special salt generator. Saltero provides salt rooms in different sizes, starting from the single-person room (2-3 m2) to 10-persons' room (18m2). The walls, ceiling and floor of the salt room are covered with at least quadruple layers of salt. This salt is dry and has about 1-15 in depth. Inside the salt room, patients can experience the following conditions: humidity of 40-50%, temperature of 20-24 degrees and an aerosol concentration of 0,5-15 mg/m3. A treatment at Saltero lasts about 45 minutes and costs 9, 90€ per person. Opening hours are Monday through Friday 11 am to 7 pm and Saturdays from 12 am to 6 pm.
