Contrary to New York’s Wallstreet, Berlin’s Wallstraße is not located in a classic banking- or business district - it is rather to be found very close to the historic heart of Berlin! The authentic Nikolaiviertel with a church build in 1230 (Nikolaikirche) and the Museum Nicolaihaus may be reached within a few minutes walking distance. After visiting other museums located nearby (for example Märkisches Museum only 750 meters distance) and the vintage Gendarmenmarkt from the 17th century, you could take a romantic evening walk at the bordering Fischerinsel. At the waterside underneath old-fashioned gas lamps you will get an idea of a European past decayed in time…
