Every Wednesday at 9pm you may listen to Surfliteratur at the Klub der Republik . You would like to know what Surfliteratur is? Well, Robert Weber thinks “Surfliteratur is for literature the same as Surfmusic for music – and the other way around! In the end, it`s a lot of fun. And that’s all that matters!” If you are curious now how it feels to combine literature with disco, your evening in Berlin could look like this: dance, listen, dance, listen… Please check the homepage for regular changing locations!

The House of World Cultures is a leading centre for the contemporary arts and a venue for projects breaking through artistic boundaries.
Projects are developed and presented in close co-operation with international experts, curators and artists.
The national and international reputation of the House of World Cultures is based on its innovative and experimental presentations of the fine arts, dance, theatre, film, literature and music as well as its international conferences.
The House of World Cultures is located in a building of great architectural and historical interest. The structure evolved as the United States’ contribution to the International Building Exhibition (INTERBAU) in 1957, which resulted in designs by many prominent architects being executed here in the Tiergarten.
